Frequently Asked Questions

What's the visa and work permit process in Thailand?

To work in Thailand, you need to apply for a non immigrant business visa in your home country before you travel to Thailand. You will need documents provided by your employer in Thailand. Once your visa has been issued, you can then begin the work permit application process.

Can foreigners legally own land in Thailand?

Normally, foreigners cannot own land in Thailand; however, there are other alternatives exist for a foreigner to acquire land or property.

Are foreigners able to have a majority (or 100%) ownership in a company?

Yes, so long as the business of the company is not reserved for Thai nationals, and permission is granted by the competent authority. In this case, the company will be a foreign entity under the foreign business act and certain licences and/or permits may be needed before operations can commence.
